The Pixies Take Doolittle on Tour Part 2! And They Come to Austin!

In case you missed the news yesterday, here it is. The Pixies are bringing back the Doolittle tour to the US after nearly 40 sold out dates last fall.  The band will hit 11 cities on the tour (full list below), and every single show is going to be recorded and made available for sale immediately following the show! In other news, The Pixies are stepping into the 1990s 2000s by starting their first official website! Check that thing out right here.

On this tour, the band will perform all the songs from their groundbreaking album “Doolittle” as well as all related B-sides from said album. According to the release, the show is also going to feature some trippy stage setups including “four huge, undulating, eyeball-like spheres flown just below the lighting rig and are part of the concert’s light show.” No idea what that means, but it sounds awesome! In addition to this, there are going to be 11 specially created films for the production to be projected onto a massive backdrop for 12 of the 21 songs on the set list.

If you want to read in more depth what to expect from the shows on the tour, check this out. Also, check below for the complete date listings for the tour. O, and the information that you are really interested in…how to get tickets to this show. Well, tickets for the Austin date (September 22) go on sale June 14 at 10 am right here. The band recently made an appearance at the Coachella Music Festival before launching into this massive tour. Tickets for all 60 cities and almost 120 shows are on sale today right here. Conan O’Brien Announces National Comedy Tour

In case you had your head under a rock or slept in and missed the announcement from Conan this morning, Conan O’Brien will head out on a 30 city comedy and music tour starting April 12 in Eugene Oregon. In case you are still bitter about the whole Jay Leno, Conan debacle of earlier this year, this is probably an awesome opportunity to get your fix.

O’Brien is not being too forthcoming with details about the tour, but the site he set up for the tour promises “A night of music, comedy, hugging, and the occasional awkward silence.” Sounds good to me! We have tickets on sale now for Conan’s Austin date and tickets are going fast, so grab them here before they are gone! The full tour schedule can be found here.

Cheers.
