#KEEPFLOATIN AT FLOAT FEST

Float Fest hits Texas this weekend and we are READY!

The raddest, baddest, floatest fest kicks off this weekend at Cool River Ranch and this year’s lineup is stacked with some of our favorite acts. From Zedd to Weezer and everyone in between, Float Fest has created the perfect blend of music for all to enjoy out on the river. Grab your schedules Float Fam, because its time to start planning! Check out our top 5 artists to help you get started:

MGMT

First up, we have the psych rockers who made it big back in 2007 with “Electric Feel” — the song that is still stuck in all of our heads to this day! It’s been 4 years since they’ve put out any new music, but the duo has recently announced an album titled Little Dark Age. Since the announcement, they have played a handful of shows and premiered some new material. We can already tell that the two have fulfilled their promise of “re-dominating our mind holes”. Get ready for MGMT to shock you like an electric eel!

Mac Miller

As one of the few hip-hop acts of the weekend, Mac Miller is a must-see! His most recent album, The Divine Feminine, offered up a completely new side of the Pittsburgh rapper, really showcasing his artistry. We are so stoked to see him take the stage and do what he does best — get the crowd jumping!

Moon Taxi

You may have passed up seeing Moon Taxi in the past, but they are really worth checking out! Having been together as a band for 10 years now, it seems like they’ve played all of the major festivals within the US. The Nashville natives are dominating the festival scene, and you’ll immediately see why once you’ve caught their set! Come hop on the Moon Taxi with us!

Sweet Spirit

Get to know Austin’s very own Sweet Spirit! Headed by the vivacious Sabrina Ellis, the nine-piece band is a brilliant blend of both 70’s garage and southern rock, with tunes that will keep you dancing from start to finish! Check out the spirited single from their latest album St. Mojo!

Los Coast

They may be the first act of the day, but this is not their first rodeo… or festival! Without an album or label, this up and coming band has still managed to take on the grand stages of Austin City Limits and Free Press Summer Fest. With soulful vocals and psychedelic guitar riffs that are out of this world, Los will make you question not only what decade you’re in, but where all this noise is coming from! You definitely don’t want to miss out on what Los Coast has got goin’ on!
