Rolling Loud Bay Area is going to be LIT this October… are you ready?
In just 2 short months, party at the Shoreline Festival Grounds, October 21 – 22, with the hottest names in the game including Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Schoolboy Q, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Kodak Black + many more.
The brilliant minds behind Bonnaroo and Outside lands have teamed up with Comedy Central to create the first ever Colossal Clusterfest.
The lineup boasts big names in comedy such as Jerry Seinfeld, Kevin Hart, Broad City, Sarah Silverman, and many more. This festival expertly meshes comedy and music; artists such as Tegan and Sara, Chromeo, and Vince Staples will be performing.
This three-day comedy and music festival will take place June 2 -4 in San Francisco, California. Weekend passes are on sale now – get yours so you won’t miss any of the incredible musicians, comedians, or experiences this one-of-a-kind festival has to offer.
We asked our favorite Bay Area local (AKA our intern, Caroline) what we should be “hella” stoked for at this year’s Outside Lands. Take a walk down her memory lane and read on for the inside scoop:
Ok, clearly I am biased, but look at that beautiful view of the Bay Bridge! How can you even try to top a music festival that gives you the bay as your ultimate pregame spot? You just can’t. Plus, San Francisco’s weather is gorgeous during festival season, so forget about any blistering heat and humid discomfort. It’s our idea of a perfect festival. All you need is a light jacket.
Food – crucial to all human life and even more so to the complete Outside Lands experience. Unlike other festivals, OSL really does it big on the festival feasting. Prime example pictured above: The Donut Cheeseburger. As soon as you enter the pearly gates of Outside Lands, you’re immediately surrounded by food trucks and booths galore – but the real adventure comes in visiting all of the other “lands”. 2015 featured Choco Lands, Bacon Lands, Cheese Lands. Word of the wise: pace yourself when visiting Wine Lands and Beer Lands. If you find yourself enjoying either of those too much, you can take a walk over to, you guessed it, Sober Lands.
When I asked my fellow OSL vets what the best parts about the festival were, there was an overwhelming love for the people you meet there. Of course we would all be lost if we couldn’t share these memories with our best friends, but the vast majority of the people you will meet as you aggressively push yourself to the front for a snap will be cool about it.
I was pumped to head back to Outside Lands before the lineup even came out (I am proud to say that I’m an Eager Beaver), but after this morning’s announcement I literally cannot contain myself. The headliners appeal to fans in every genre and across generations. Legendary names like Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, Lionel Richie, Lana Del Ray, J. Cole, Duran Duran, and Zedd will grace those massive stages this August.
Now we just have to count down the days until we get to party with Ranger Dave!
