Bestival returns to Toronto, Canada for its second year and you can expect nothing less than a spectacular two-day dance party with a weekend of magic and costumes. What started and held court in the UK for 12 years is now making a name in it’s second annual Canadadian spinoff. We’re super stoked – can you blame us?
1. THE LINEUP
The stellar music this year features The Cure, Tame Impala, ODESZA, Grimes, Jamie XX, Madeon and more. We’re talking the biggest names in rock, electronica, indie pop and more.
2. THEIR FEATURES
We’re talking installations like an inflatable church where concert-goers can get married! There is also a costume party and parade which typically takes place that Saturday – a huge day where everyone goes all out and dresses according to the theme. With last year being the theme was The Summer of Love, the festival was flooded with hippies, soldier uniforms and lots of tie-dye clothing. Check out the 2015 Aftermovie for a sneak peek into what you can expect this June!
3. THE LOCATION
For the past few years, Toronto has consistently been named one of the best places to live. Ever. It’s “liveable,” it’s “great for young people,” and now with Bestival establishing itself as a major festival player there, we’re ready to pack our bags. Don’t believe us? Check out this Google search we did to write this post section.
4. THE SURPRISES
Last year included llamas so you never know what’s in store.
