First impressions are everything – we all know this. So it goes without saying that Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival is putting it’s best foot forward in its inaugural year and pulling out all the stops. From the lineup to the beautiful festival grounds, there’s plenty of reasons to get excited about this September festival in Franklin, Tennessee.
Franklin, TN has been repeatedly acknowledged as one of the top most Charming Southern Cities in America and America’s Main Street. The Park at Harlinsdale is truly the crown jewel of Franklin. It’s lush grounds and historical architecture dates back to the first half of the 20th century and you can still see many of those ideals and aesthetics today. We’re excited to experience this festival on such a picturesque landscape, complete with white picket fences surrounding many natural amphitheaters on 200 acres of rolling farm lands, a lake for catch and release fishing, and the horse trails it has become famous for.
The Bazaar – County Culture is showcased at the festival’s midway. This marketplace will feature local crafts and wearables, regional restaurants and food fare and local/regional wine, beer and spirits showcases.
Hohner Lilttle Pilgrim’s Landing – The fun at Pilgrimage is for everyone. The Children’s stage will feature a variety of musical entertainment including talented young music-makers and a play area for young’uns!
Local Venue Programming – In an effort to fill the entire weekend with local flare, Pilgrimage has teamed up with legendary venues in and around Franklin to curate after-dark shows featuring local, regional and national talent!
This first year festival is not one to be dismissed. With a lineup that includes legends like Wilco, Willie Nelson, Weezer, Sheryl Crown and Iron & Wine as well as buzz bands like Saint Motel, Lucius, The Lone bellow and more, there is truly something for everyone.
Pilgri-Mashups – in case the standalone lineup wasn’t enough, this year will boast Pilgri-mashups that pair artists together for special one-time collaborations on stage. Who are you betting on seeing together on stage? Maybe a Big Sam’s Funk Nation x Iron & Wine jam? Or a Willie Nelson and Nikki Lane Duet? You won’t know if you’re not there!
