After releasing his highly anticipated third studio album, Travis Scott has been planning his premier music festival set to take place on November 17. Happening in his own hometown of Houston, Texas, Astroworld will showcase handpicked talent and other exciting elements from the city’s rich history.
Before his second album was completed, Travis announced on the now-defunct Vine app what his next project would be titled. With Houston pride, Travis named his most recent album after a beloved amusement park he frequently visited as a child, Six Flags AstroWorld. He recalls spending time on roller coasters and feeling the fantasies and imagination behind the park. He used this to influence the aesthetic of his album, where each song feels like a different attraction. With many star collaborators and references to the park, the album takes listeners on a journey through each brilliantly crafted song.
Although the park was demolished back in 2005, Travis still feels passionate about AstroWorld. Travis will bring elements that commemorate the park in his upcoming tour and festival. General Admission tickets have sold out, but a limited number of Stargazing VIP and No Bystanders VIP tickets are still available. Step into Travis’ sentimental and thrilling creation on November 17th.
