After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19 the Winnipeg Folk Festival is set to return to Birds Hill Provincial Park from July 7-10, 2022. Tickets are now on sale at Tier 1 ticket prices for the 47th edition of Winnipeg Folk Fest. The festival is also excited to share the new artwork for the 2022 festival designed by local artist Roberta Landreth.
In accordance with current public health orders and feedback from the organization’s audience survey respondents, the Winnipeg Folk Festival will require government-issued proof of full vaccination for the 2022 Winnipeg Folk Festival. The full Vaccination Policy can be found on the festival’s Health & Safety page.
In addition to a vaccination requirement, the Winnipeg Folk Festival is moving to a new tiered ticketing process. Instead of having a deadline by date, the organization is moving to a supply-based tiered structure. Festivalgoers will need to purchase as soon as possible to save on tickets before prices move to the next tier.
For the second year in a row, Winnipeg Folk Festival is working with local graphic designer Roberta Landreth. After creating beautiful artwork for a 2021 Festival that didn’t end up being possible to produce, the organization hired Roberta for 2022 and once again she has captured the spirit of the Winnipeg Folk Festival in a single design that illustrates so many facets of the Festival. The colours were selected as a nod to the early years of the Festival, bringing back the classic blue and orange of the original banjo logo.
